Those of you who were at last night's club meeting will have heard Mike Bews announce that we are now, at long last, the proud owners of our new premises at Montpelier. It has been a long haul, but the terrier-like tenacity of Mike finally won through and we exchanged contracts and completed the deal yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon. You will note that I have used the word "premises", that is because at present it is still a small industrial unit; however, over the next 6 - 8 weeks the builders will transform it into a bespoke photographic clubrooms as shown on the drawings that have been on display at West Mall over the last few weeks.
The project team is aware that for many of you the property has just been an address mentioned at meetings or in the newsletter, so to let all members see what we have purchased (before any work is done) we are having an open hour on this Saturday morning between 11.00 and 12.00. Feel free to pop along when I'm sure one of the team will be more than happy to show you around and explain what we propose doing.

On a cautionary note, once building works have commenced, would members please not attempt to visit the property as (we are always being told) building sites are dangerous places. However, once all works are complete we will be holding another open door session to allow members to familiarise themselves with the new clubrooms before the first official meeting.
