***Next Independent Laboratory Testing Committee (ILAC) Meeting & Pesticide Decision This Thursday

The next meeting will be Thursday April 16th at 2PM at Desert Research Institute, Room 182. 755 East Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, NV.  Some of the items on the agenda include pesticide standards and analytes to be tested, standardized testing methods and equipment, and proficiency standards for labs. 

 

Below I was recently quoted for a Review Journal article about pesticide testing and hopefully we will be getting an idea of timeline at this ILAC meeting of when we can make changes to pesticide rules to give more input to all MMEs.

***Huge Las Vegas Medical Marijuana Association (LVMMA) Mixer Thursday 5PM

LVMMA, has a large MME and patient mixer this Thursday at Wondersoil, 6355 Windy Rd #1.  If you have attended any of the luncheons or other mixers, you know the importance of supporting LVMMA, accelerating movement forward for the Nevada cannabis industry.

***Acres Medical LVMMA MME Mixer Monday April 27^th

Acres Medical, City of Las Vegas dispensary, owned by Michael Morton and Michael Cornthwaite, both prominent bar owner / restauranteurs will have a mixer 5PM Monday April 27^th at La Comida Restaurant in Fremont East Entertainment District. 

 

 

**** Medical Marijuana: From Theory to Practical Application May 5th

On Tuesday, May 5th there will be an in-depth look at how medical marijuana has impacted other communities. The program will help prescribers and law enforcement prepare for dispensaries opening in Nevada.  I will definitely be in attendance at this training.

***Mobile Agent Card Fingerprinting Service Available

B & D Fingerprinting will do mobile fingerprinting for your business for 10 or more employees for the convenience of your MME from talking to them 2 weeks ago in person.  For some people, I am sure you have been there a few times already, not out of choice to get your FBI fingerprints done for the 100^th time.  

 

 

***Hempcon May 15^th-17^th Cashman Center

Hempcon, partners with Weedmaps, plans on bringing its ongoing multi-state event and cup to Las Vegas May 15^th-17^th to Cashman Center.  I hope that they support legal licensed MMES instead of having illegal delivery services there at the event and partner with local cannabis organizations.   

 

 

***LVCIC / CCI Cannabis Event Weekend June 6^th & 7^th

Here is another fun free cannabis event on June 6^th and featuring seminars on June 7^th at Tahiti Village.  They will be selling vendor tables as the event comes closer.

 

 

***Reggae in the Desert June 13th – Largest Cannabis Friendly Party in Vegas!

Reggae in the Desert is one of the largest ongoing cannabis friendly events and a great place to buy a booth to market you cannabis service, product, or brand to the community.

 

 

***Hemp Fest & Medical Cup October 3^rd Las Vegas Convention Center

Hemp Fest Las Vegas will be hosted by Tommy Chong and feature Collie Buddz and Kottonmouth Kings among many others.  I have the privilege of being chosen as one of the speakers this year at the festival.

 

 

***Cannabis In Nevada – Your Opinion is Important

I am doing an anonymous marketing survey for Nevada MMEs, so I can get a better understanding of what patients want from MMEs, once they are open.  This data will be published into an article once I feel I have a representative sample.  Please answer the survey if you use cannabis as medicine.  

 

 

***WECAN 702 Please Help Us

We are in need of more individuals connected into the cannabis industry to interview for our broadcast radio show (30-40,000 listenership reach) and YouTube channel.  Please contact (Beach@wecan702.org) if interested.  We would like to switch the show over to a FM format but this will cost $5,000 a month to reach all of these cannabis consumers and to also educate the community.  We would welcome a partner that would pick up a significant amount of this cost and in return receive the majority of advertisement of their MME or brand.    This would get the word out about your NV MME facility and also help with branding.  Our WECAN facebook has over 130,000 likes with 41,000 reached.  We want to help connect you with the cannabis patient community.  We can also give you a tax receipt because WECAN is a non-profit.
