We are writing to introduce our COP30 art project. A Copper Sculpture of Trump and 6.000, 3D printed mini-sculptures that will be handed out at the conference to expose the elephant in the room. We also offer a way for your organization to participate.
The Orange Plague – Trump at COP30
Donald Trump is back. In the US he is undermining the climate efforts, rolling back hard-won progress, and even destroying the scientific data that documents it. Worse yet, he is using power and economic pressure to discourage other nations from pursuing green initiatives — thereby weakening the global fight against climate change.
In short: Trump represent the greatest
obstacle to solving the climate crisis
We must address this issue at COP30 and stand together against such destructive influence.
To contribute to this, artist Jens Galschiot has created a 2.6meter tall copper sculpture titled God of Injustice / The Orange Plague, portraying Donald Trump as he sees his role in the global climate crisis.
We are also 3D printing 6,000 mini-sculptures which we will distribute freely within the COP30 summit in Belem. The goal is to make the figure a symbolic “mascot” of COP30 — something participants will see, remember, and take with them as a provocation and a call to action.
Your participation - for those who want to help out:
- Distribute some of the 3D printed mini-sculptures (write me and we can send you a bunch ahead of the summit)
- Arranging good places to exhibit the sculpture at COP30 and possibly around Belém (Venues, NGO hubs, etc.)
- Simply spread the word to others who might want to get involved
If you’d like to take part we’d be delighted to hear from you.

A short introduction
I am a Danish artist who has exhibited climate related art at climate conferences all over the world, including COP15, RIO+20, COP21, COP23 and COP29, often with support from the Danish government. In my experience, art can serve as a powerful complement to the many words exchanged at a climate summit. My sculptures are often used by the media as sort of mascots for the events. They are easy to understand visual expressions of the climate issue and what is at stake at the conferences.
