The jpg version of four images should show as icons and the Raw versions as filenames. Right click on the image you wish to download, click Open Link, Download. Please read the notes in the text file.

This is advanced warning that there will be no meeting at the clubrooms on 26 March, instead the meeting will be at the QEH Theatre in Jacob Wells Rd, Clifton for the presentation of the 2014 Bristol Salon of International Photography. Entry for members will be free but you are invited to bring guests along (there will be a small charge of £4 for guests). Photographic Workshops - Skye
|
We have received the following from Deemacphotos who organise photographic workshops on Skye:
I am writing to ask if you would be kind enough circulate my details to your club members. I run photographic workshops from my home on the Isle of Skye, a location which I'm sure your members will know has some of the most stunning scenery in the country. My new website is now on-line and information about my workshops can be found there. Please feel welcome to browse through it.
You may have read the articles I wrote in the WCPF newsletter about my move to Skye, having been in Devon for the previous 20 years. In fact, I am still a contributing member of the Exmouth Photo Group and affiliated to the WCPF. Some friendships are hard to leave behind.
I have recently added a section to my website called "Talking Photos" which is aimed particularly at less experienced photographers wanting to learn. I hope some of your club photographers will find useful and maybe even entertaining as I continue to add to it. There will be photographic tips and some discussion of hot topics in photography. It's worth bookmarking the site and returning from time to time to catch up with what I've added there. Coming soon will be some thoughts on composition.
The Isle of Skye photographs beautifully in all seasons, sometimes all of them seeming to occur in one day! If you would like to take advantage of this, now is a great time to get in touch with me.
Many, including some retired teachers, have said I have a knack for explaining things in simple terms. I believe that this, combined with living in an area of outstanding natural beauty, puts me in a great position to be of service to other photographers of all abilities.
As someone who has been enthusiastically involved in “camera club” photography, I look forward to welcoming members of camera clubs and photographic groups to Skye in the coming years and helping them to find great images from around the island and beyond. I hope some of your members will choose to be amongst those to benefit.
Wishing you and your club members successful photography,
David McHutchison
