Ah yes, Spring!

For me the word Spring translates into "pretty much Summer!"
I can't get enough of this sunshine, the blooming, the new life!  It's contagious! Excitement is in the air! And I've got big news!
...but you'll have to wait...probably another month or so :)

Anyhow, just a few brief updates and show reminders for you...

Did someone stay strings!?
New video out! Live footage from my January show with the Chamber Orchestra of Pittsburgh is out! They welcomed me as a guest for their winter performance, wrote string arrangements to a few of my songs and brought brand new life to our set! Jason Rafalak (upright) and Ryan Socrates (percussion) also join. WATCH

Last by not least, a small Easter reflection:

"When you change the way you look at things the things you look at change."
- Wayne Dyer

A chance encounter while roaming through South Philly streets. Down an alley Ezekiel Zagar, son of renowned mosaic artist Isaiah Zagar, pops his head out a door. We don't know who we're talking to at first but then he begins to share the story of his father.

He says his father first began mosaic art with mirrors after seeing his reflection in the brass door knob of the insane asylum he was in. This made me think: how often do beautiful things come out of difficult situations. All the time. New Life never happens without death and dying. Spring never comes without winter. Trees are a product of the seeds of dead fruit. Beauty from ashes.

The more things die in my life, the more I get excited about what's next. The more seasons change, the more I am inspired to joyfully kiss the ashes goodbye in order to step into the beauty. This chance encounter on a South Philly alley has given this specific week a whole new meaning. It's the very story of the Gospel. It's the very story of life. New life just doesn't happen without death.
Happy Easter, Happy Spring!
