Global Reality Report
Last July when Italy's Finance minister Giulio Tremonti drew up their $42bn austerity bill, he went on to compare the current crisis to the sinking of the Titanic, recalling that 'not even those in first class were spared' when the famed cruise liner sank 100 years ago in the North Atlantic.
His premonition turned out to be more accurate than we could ever have imagined when Captain Francesco Schettino sank an Italian cruise ship off Italian waters. Schettino abandoned ship and refused coast guard orders to reboard the ship to assist in rescue efforts. Before the collision, he was hard at work impressing a woman and apparently afterward as well. The ship's cook reported to a local news station that the captain had ordered dinner for himself and the woman after the ship struck rocks off Italy's coast. The captain is reported to have ordered his crew to calm the passengers and tell them to return to their cabins, a command which turned out to be quite fatal.
The Economy as a Reflection of Human Relations
A true and lasting economic improvement depends on changing human relations
The Global Economic Crisis Is Challenging the Economic Paradigm
According to classic economics, people aspire to maximize profits for completely egoistic motives. The 17th century British philosopher, Thomas Hobbes, put it this way: "Every man is presumed to seek what is good for himself naturally, and what is just, only for peace's sake, and accidentally."[1] That view, which is still prevalent, asserts that social behavior is merely an after-the-fact result, and that our forefathers made social treaties only for the profits they yield, and not because they were drawn to each other's company.

Financial Experts on 2012 - Forecast Vs. Reality
As the world is entering 2012, the future for financial markets is getting increasingly harder to predict.
According to Reuters, Wall Street leading financial prognosticators Byron Wien (Blackstone Group LLP) and Bob Doll (BlackRock, Inc) acknowledge that the prediction game has been a challenge in the recent years, due to a surge of unforeseen events, such as an earthquake and tsunami in Japan, the near collapse of the Euro-zone and political upheaval in the Arab world, which left Wall Street's gurus scratching their heads.

2012 - The Year We Bring Our World Back Into Balance
As the world's top analysts attempt to predict what will happen in 2012, the current escalation of world affairs continues to pressure us. Rather than wasting time thinking about what we can do with the current tools at our disposal, we should be thinking about how we can embrace the integral global world that has seemingly landed on us without warning.

The Internet is The Ultimate Social Network - Let's Hang On To It
Just when we thought we had finally created a network, a system for connecting, where we could express ourselves freely, think, take initiative, and even air our opinions without too much interference, now the U.S. Congress is still trying to pass legislation that will allow the government to censor the Internet. According to the proposal, they will be able to obligate Internet service providers to block sites that are suspected of infringing copyright law or even those that are not supervising user behavior.
Since most servers and hardware are in the U.S., their blacklist will limit all of our freedoms.
