Bag Making is FUN!
October 14th, 2022
a bi-monthly publication of StudioKat Designs
 Issue #232

Hello and Welcome!
We're in a wierd sort of place right now... still basking in the glow of our first REAL vacation since the onset of Covid while also working feverishly to get packed and prepared for the International Quilt Festival which also for the very first time since the onset of Covid will additionally include the additional International Quilt Market show during the week prior.
I have sorely missed the Quilt Market but I find I've almost completely forgotten how to prepare for this "double show", which only serves to increase my stress level. I've already warned the hubster that I'll need a 2nd vacation to recover (but I doubt that will happen)!
Needless to say, I better get back to work, but I hope you enjoy this issue of "Bag Making if FUN!"

RIP Loretta Lynn
Loretta Lynn, the “Coal Miner’s Daughter” passed away on 10/4/22. She was 90. Below is one of the last tweets she published.
"Time flies when you’re having fun! 60 years ago a dream came true when I became a member of the @opry. It’s still the most magical place in the world and holds so many wonderful memories for me!"

What I Read While On Vacation
For me, reading for fun is a luxurious pastime that I rarely allow myself to indulge in, so its something I look forward to when I'm away from home and  makes my selection of reading material all the more important! This year I chose Craig Brown’s 150 Glimpses of The Beatles.
As a child of the 60's, how could I resist this title? Of course it had some big surprises within... some of which I wasn't too crazy about knowing, but it had one of the best endings I’ve read in ages. Don't you just LOVE it when a book sticks the landing in a big way.

How to Turn Your Hobby
