Our mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. We partner with parents/guardians, volunteers, and others in the community and hold ourselves accountable for each child in our program achieving higher aspirations, greater confidence, and better relationships; avoidance of risky behaviors; educational success.
Central Coast Funds for Children was established to benefit children in need of special services in San Luis Obispo County. We are a publicly supported, non-profit, tax-exempt charitable organization. All donations are tax-deductible and all donations stay in our county to help local children. CCFC has no paid staff -- all activities are run by volunteers. Less than 6% of the income raised goes to expenses.
Rita's Rainbows was created to serve the memory of Rita Marie Goehner and provides charitable assistance both financially and through programs to benefit children and teens who demonstrate a need. 100% of the funds raised go directly to the children and teens. Rita took part in many ways to help children, especially homeless and underprivileged, and this non-profit was started by her surviving family to carry on her special love for others.

Our program provides free, hot noon-time meals to seniors 60 years of age and over throughout SLO County. These meals are delivered 5 times a week directly to our clients' homes or to one of ten lunch sites throughout the county. In addition to serving a hot nutritious meal, our volunteers personally visit our homebound clients, offering social contact as well as emergency assistance when necessary.

Founded by John Muir in 1892, the Sierra Club is the nation's largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization. Their mission is to explore, enjoy, and protect the wild places of the earth; to practice and promote the responsible use of the earth's ecosystems and resources; to educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural and human environment; and to use all lawful means to carry out these objectives.
