Schneidereit joins forces with John Laithwaite
With his company John Laithwaite Partners (JLP), the British entrepreneur John Laithwaite has acquired a 50% interest in Schneidereit. Further joint product developments are planned.
On 19 April 2012, it became official: Schneidereit and John Laithwaite Partners have established a joint venture. “This exciting partnership combines Schneidereit with the comprehensive expertise and extensive experience of John Laithwaite and his team. In addition, we have several major elements and objectives in common”, explains Schneidereit Managing Director Philippe Castaignos. John Laithwaite is known in the laundry industry above all for his entrepreneurial skills. With over 350 employees and more than 10,000 pieces of industrial equipment delivered each year, he developed JLA into one of the biggest providers in the world before selling the company in 2010.
“The driving force behind the success of JLA was John Laithwaite’s energy and determination to present many industry firsts along with innovative ideas and unique products,” says Castaignos. After their first meeting it became clear that both John Laithwaite in the UK and Schneidereit had developed a similar business model that also includes in particular the full-service contracting of commercial equipment. Similarly, both businesses focussed not just on the individual product, but always on the needs of the customer and offering a complete solution. These commonalities were the key factors in the British businessman’s decision to acquire a 50% stake in Schneidereit (through John Laithwaite Partners). Now the partnership looks forward to further product developments.
