Families in India receive Emergency Aid
|
Families and children experiencing severe poverty in India during the COVID-19 pandemic will be receiving vital emergency support thanks to a grant of £50,000 from the Freemasons to Plan International UK. The £50,000 grant is enough to provide an expected 1,700 emergency food parcels for some of the most vulnerable families whose livelihoods have been affected during the pandemic. On Saturday 22nd May 2021 fifteen members of The Mackworth Club together with two partners and on child met at Carmarthen Park to officially launch the start of the extreme Triathlon event to raise funds for the West Wales Festival 2026. Each person (dogs kilometres not included) walked 5km giving the team a 90km start. To register for the event click here.

We're Back - Prince of Wales Lodge no. 671 |

On Monday 16th May the Prince of Wales lodge 671 in Llanelli met in person for the first time in 14 months. There were a large number of brethren wanting to attend but due to current restrictions they were limited to 15 in the temple and a Tyler. The Lodge business was to elect a master for the forthcoming year, W.Bro. Nick Parker will hopefully be installed in September.

Just when you thought TLC teddy bears couldn’t get any cuter….they have! The bears have been given a makeover and now have a heart-shaped nose, a matching coloured ribbon and are even more cuddly! Every bear has a stitched in label that says ‘DONATED BY LOCAL FREEMASONS Teddies For Loving Care delivers special teddies to hospitals bringing relief and a smile to children in distress. The challenge will be in West Wales on the Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd July 2021. Saint Padarn Lodge will be hosting a walk on the promenade iin Abersytwyth, starting from the bandstand at 10am on Friday 2nd July 2021 everyone is welcome to join in, COVID Guidelines permitting.
