SSWAC have been closely monitoring the guidance that has been issued by central government and The Scout Association. With Scouting soon to be in the "Amber" this allows some face to face scouting to return.
Water Activities could fall into this as it would be outdoors, however due to the very nature of events run by SSWAC for us to re-start extended travel needs to be permitted.
SSWAC brings people from across the county and beyond together in one place to enjoy water activities. At the present time government advice is that you should remain local.
This works for local scout groups as people don't travel for miles and/or rely on activities such as car sharing. Until the restriction on travel are reduced we feel that it would be irresponsible of SSWAC to resume providing activities.
We continue to plan for the moment we can provide activities, and what this will look like. Rest assured we will as soon as we can.
