Regarding our email to you all on 9th April.
Sadly, we didnt get a cast iron confirmation that all 2nd and 3rd inspections would be completed by a council officer this year. This is surprising as we think that completing inspections properly should be a basic task of the allotment service.
Robert Walker emailed us back and said;
"I am personally making every effort to ensure that my staff do a reasonable job is done of this this year. If a significant number of the site reps decide that they will not get involved this will ,as you know, mean another years inspections will be incomplete as officers have limited time to pick up all 3 inspections themselves.
I would appreciate if you could encourage the site reps to carry out the inspections and I can assure you I will be closely monitoring officers progress and share this with you and members"
Deanna will probably not be able to answer questions regarding the council committing to carrying out the 2nd and 3rd inspections. If you still want further clarification I would email Rob Walker directly.
