Dear Site Reps and Associations,

We are contacting everyone to find out how you have been getting on during lock down. We have been very fortunate that allotments were exempt from movement restrictions. We are all aware of how important they are to people’s health and wellbeing, as well of course as providing people with nutritious food.

We are interested to hear your experiences of managing your allotments during the lockdown and would appreciate some feedback if you have time.

Have you had any particular difficulties?

What has been your experience with the Allotments Service? Have you needed to contact them about essential maintenance or other issues? What was the outcome?

Have you carried out any essential maintenance yourselves? If so, what was it?

Do you have any other observations about allotment management during the last few months or suggestions on how BHAF can support you? If you prefer to comment on anything in confidence, please say.

We would also like to remind you that funding continues to be available for site improvements and encourage you to apply through your site reps. We are particularly keen to support site community projects and also community outreach projects to build on the excellent work that is being done by many of you with schools, food banks and local outreach.

Best Regards,
Mark Carroll
