Dear Macro members,
I apologize to any of you who are getting this message a second time! It has come to my attention that several members didn't receive this message when it was sent on January 29, so I'm sending it again in the hopes that everyone will receive it!
Greetings! We invite you to submit proposals for our 2020 Musician's Workshop. The workshop will be held at Monona Terrace in Madison, Wisconsin on June 5-6, 2020.
We will again be offering a mini workshop on theory teaching techniques to launch our event on June 5. Make your teaching and learning active in our "Student Engagement: A Survival Guide" session presented by Dr. Whitney Berry. Dr. Robert Hodson will discuss "Shifts and Slides in Brahms's Intermezzo, opus 118, no. 2" and enjoy a special performance by the Jazz Band HORNZZ led by Dr. Craig Hurst.
As always, we are also looking for standard presentations including music theory, theory pedagogy, performance or analysis, as well as technology and interactive presentations. Please take a moment to read through the attached file for all of this year's workshop information. Please send all submissions to jamie.henke@wisc.edu
We also offer two other presentation formats. Bring your best teaching pieces to share in our "Favorites Session." We also offer our "Pitches Session" which is perfect for any small special topic ideas you would like to introduce.
Best wishes for a great semester, and I hope to hear from many of you soon with proposals for the workshop!
We hope to see all of you in June!
Jamie
