PSA PID Open Interclub Competition
|
Following on from the PSA Nature and Creative end of year competition where sadly none of our images were recognised with individual awards, I’m pleased to say we have one image that has been recognised in the PID Colour section (oddly named as both colour and mono images were accepted).
So massive congratulations to:
Barry Mead – Girl in Fur..... awarded a Bronze Medal
But let’s not forget the efforts of everyone else who participated and contributed to our club position at the head of Group F, particularly Derwood with 3 awards – we’ve now earned promotion into Group E for the next season.:

PAGB Interclub PDI Competition at Warwick |
Saturday 16 July - PAGB Inter-Club PDI Championship at Warwick University
The above competition is one of the most keenly fought events in the calendar.
The TOP TWO clubs from each regional federation competition win the right to represent themselves, their members and their region in this annual national battle. In the 2021 national competition we competed against 50+ other clubs from across GB, eventually finishing 8th, with our own Sue O’Connell receiving a Silver Medal!
That final position, ie 8th, guaranteed us qualification at this year’s championship, but not being complacent we underlined our right to be there with our win in DPIC at the beginning of this year. Tickets for this year’s battle are available now via the PAGB website – costing £12:50.
Come and join us in the audience and lend us your support. We’ve earned our place, let’s see if we can better last year’s outcome.
Irrespective of where we finish, it will be a great day filled with the very best images from the very best photographers in the country.
Tickets are available here:

Salon acceptances: BPS photographers are now achieving large numbers of salon acceptances and constraints on time and space mean we can't include them all. So please only advise of awards or other milestones.
Contrary to popular belief, I do not possess psychic powers and need you to tell me if you've had successes. If you want to blow your own trumpet (or someone else's), then this is the place to do it. Please let me know and I'll include details in a future issue
|
If you have any photographic items for sale, drop me a line and I'll include it in the next newsletter. Please make sure that you provide contact details, price and full description of the sale items (pictures always help). |
IMPORTANT: Personal Detail Changes |
Please don't forget that if you change your address (home or email), or gain additional photographic distinctions, it would be appreciated if you could let the Membership Secretary know so that she can keep her records up to date, this will also ensure that you continue to receive your newsletters - please email all changes to membership@bristolphoto.org.uk.
The distinctions we have on record are those shown at the top of this newsletter, please remember, if you don't tell us we can't possibly know!
DO NOT REPLY TO THE NEWSLETTER.
