Coming Up...

April program very soon

Chers amis,

Dear friends,

A must see in Lebanon is  the discovery of the Holy Valley of the Kadicha.
Kadisha means "Holy" in Aramic, and the valley, sometimes called the Holy Valley, has sheltered Christian monastic communities for many centuries. The Kadisha Holy Valley harbors the most ancient Christian monasteries of the Middle East : The Qannubin Monastery used to be the seat of the Maronite Patriarch, The Monastery of Mar Lishaa and The Monastery of St Anthony of Qozhaya.

A day spending with the everlasting echoes of bells sounds  over the centuries-old cliffs Valley. We will spent this daye under the sign of inner peace and relaxation.

It is on section 6 of the LMT that we will walk 13 Km  beginning from the village of Hawka following the famous stairs which lead to the bottom of the Valley and without forgetting to visit the last Hermite of the Kadisha: Father Dario.
A small path will lead us to Saint Marina before reaching the famous Qannoubine monastery.
then we will head towards Saint Anthony of Qozhaya convent, this rock-cut monastery has been in continuous use since the Middle Ages.
It is also famous for housing the first printing press in the Middle East.
The hermitage is the largest in the valley and has a museum.
