Philippians 3:20-21 By the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, [Christ] will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

FOREVER WITH THE LORD

On Judgment Day, when the dead in Christ are raised, their bodies (along with the bodies of living believers) will undergo an amazingly wonderful transformation. Jesus will take our weak, mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies just like His own. All the effects of sin, all infirmities and pains, medical conditions, physical weaknesses will cease to exist. We'll have perfect hearing, 20/20 vision, no limps, no morning backaches, no headaches. No getting tired or feeling worn out ever. "Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped. The lame leap will like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy" (Isaiah 35:5-6). As a seed dies and disintegrates in the soil in order to produce new life, as a once-ugly caterpillar emerges from its cocoon in the form of a gorgeous Monarch butterfly, so it will be on the Last Day for all who belong to Jesus.

And the best part will be that we will see the Lord who redeemed us to be His own face-to-face. The sleeping saints and living saints, with perfect bodies, will be caught up into the clouds to meet Him and to be received into the new heavens and new earth where everything will be good and beautiful, never to be parted from the Lord or each other ever again. Let's encourage one another with these words!
