BUSHFIRE AWARENESS SESSIONS
The Scotland Island Rural Fire Brigade invites all Offshore residents to attend a free Bushfire Awareness Session at the Fire Station. The presentation will cover fire behaviour, preparation for a bushfire emergency (including preparing your property and evacuation plan) and what action the Brigade will be taking. These presentations were very well-received last year and given the outlook for this summer, are designed to assist residents to plan and prepare for the upcoming bushfire season.
The presentation will be given twice, first on Wednesday 29 October at 7.30pm and again on Sunday 2 November at 11.00am. The session will last for approximately an hour and will be held at the Fire Station (Catherine Park). Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available and there will be ample time for questions.
