 FH staff go into each community, work with a small group of Mother Leaders to teach better hygiene practices. Those Mother Leaders in turn go and share the knowledge with their fellow mothers until the whole community is educated.
 The Plan: each tac on this map of the DR represents communities FH is currently working in, or future communities they hope to work in, or ones that FH has completed working in. Each tac represents a 10-year program of helping a community to live sustainably on its own.

Dear Friends,
I never fully know what Im going to say when I sit down to write one of these newsletters; but Im really happy to be sending one your way. Honestly, It's hard to believe so much can happen in the 4-5 week period between each of these updates, but somehow there's always something new to share!
BACK FROM THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
First and foremost, I have so many pictures to share with you! My trip to the Dominican with Food for the Hungry was a priceless experience that I wouldnt trade for anything in the world. Its one thing to talk about all work FH is doing, but its another thing to see it! What does it take to go into a community and work with their leaders, their women, and their children over the course of a 10-year period to aid in reviving them - body, mind, and Spirit. It looks like HOPE! and hope is a very tangible thing! Or at least it can be! I have never been more excited to be a part of the work God is doing through this organization! I also got to meet this little girl I sponsor, Angela. That was a very special thing. A few pictures over to the left, but you can check out the whole photo album here.

In the past month Ive been working on my upcoming Spring Midwest Tour. Shows are planned for Chicago, Madison, Detroit, and Pittsburgh with the hopes of also routing through St. Louis and and Louisville in between some college shows! If you're in OH, MI, IN, IL (or really anywhere that makes sense) and would like to host a house concert please drop me a note! There are a still a few weekend dates open. I am also consistently booking house concerts in the Philly metro area.
