       2016!!
It's here! Dear friends, so happy to have made it into a new year with you. I've got a great feeling about 2016. A really great feeling!
Well, I've never liked New Year`s Resolutions or 3-5 year plans. But I do love vision-casting, and this year my mind is fixed on one thing and one thing alone - a NEW ALBUM!
The last 12 months were full of songwriting, and then an almost 5-month dry-spell that made me think a new project would never happen. In some ways I felt like I was going fishing daily in the hopes of catching something good. Rarely did I write anything worth keeping, Rarely did I write anything at all! But if anything it taught me some discipline. And the songs that have emerged were worth the effort.
 NOW!
I recently started a "Now" page on my site so that I can share weekly updates on projects and stuff i am working on now. It will be an ever-changing page and i'll be sharing video clips of new songs, ideas I am toying with at the moment, and small details that contribute to the big picture (specifically an album).
The Now page is not a newsletter or a blog - just a shortlist of things I am doing "now", and it will change on a constant basis. I got the idea from a writer I follow and thought it would be a great way of sharing little tidbits in one central spot. Sometimes 140 character tweets and status update just don't do the trick. The first quarter of this year is going to be crazy! In fact, Im looking at the below and taking one huge deep breath. To be honest, I wanted to do one more major run, before finally laying low and focusing on what's next, so I am literally going everywhere. Everywhere.
I'll be playing favorite venues, visiting new ones, doing tons of house concerts, testing out new songs, and maybe considering it a farewell tour for All or Nothing - an album that I have truly worked to the bone. It's going to involve a lot of driving and very little time at home, but I'm just taking a deep breath and going! I hope to see you on the other side of each drive. That would make it all worthwhile :)
