Hello & Welcome!
As I sit here today the East Coast is pretty much snowed under from what was basically a "snow hurricane". We didnt get all that much snow this time but it is sure is COLD, pretty much as it's been for all of January.
We are lucky and escaped the worst of it while we were at the Road to California show as you can see HERE. I'll tell you all about the show in a post that will drop tomorrow morning but for now, why not grab a cup of coffee and we'll get started!

February 2022 "Eye Candy"
It’s time for your monthly treat for the eyes & I really LOVE this month's selection of bags.
ALL of the bags pictured below have been shared recently on

Now here's a bag that really makes me smile. Joy Carr didn't say if she made this Sling Along for herself or someone else but I'm thinking she spreading smiles wherever she goes!

Kay Marsh-Wyrick  really loves the Sling Along pattern, but I'm wondering which she loves more... this design or the Los Angeles Dodgers? And Kay did a great job. Her sewing is meticulous & her fussy-cutting is perfection!
And this showstopper was created by Trudy DeMeerLeer who says she's been looking for a bag pattern like the Elsie K Baglet features for a long, long time. Evidently its purrfect for her!

Katy Meile said tshe was pretty intimidated by the Flaptastic pattern when she saw all the pattern pieces
but to her amazement it went together flawlessly and I might also add... beautifully!!

And even though Connie Antoniuk says she had a little trouble while sewing up her Sling Along she said that she was able to figure things out with the help of our downloadable pdf tutorials.

And since Karen Gurnavage has a big vacation coming up this Spring, she wanted a new bag that was lightweight
to accompany her and this Sling Along sure fits the bill! It's AMAZING!

Chila Westergaard made this adorable Sling Along for her granddaughter who LOVES panda bears!
Wouldnt you have loved to have seen her face when she received her bag? :)

Nita Wilson calls her DittyRoo a "successful challenge"! Nita says she's taken now with decorating her home with her Art Deco creations so that she can enjoy them everyday! I actually do the same thing when I'm working on a new design! :)
Dianne Georger just back into sewing having just retired & used this vintage Elvis print for this Gemini FlightBag she's been saving for some time for this bag!

And last but not least, Sharon Edmondson finished this impressive Sling Along just in time for the Houston Quilt Symposium

New Word of the Month- Adorkable
       A·dork·a·ble-  equally adorable and dorky

Thanks to computers and the Internet, millions of people can effectively do their job remotely from home while complying with social distancing measures. That’s the scenario that plenty of people find themselves in today, many being asked to work from home for the first time in their lives.
If you've never worked from home, let alone full-time, the prospect may seem daunting or outright insurmountable but here's some Do's and Don'ts to consider!

When given the choice between a free meal and performing a task for a meal, cats would prefer the meal that doesn't require much effort. While that might not come as a surprise to some cat lovers, it does to cat behaviorists. Most animals prefer to work for their food -- a behavior called contrafreeloading.
A new study found that cats would rather eat from a tray of easily available food rather than work out a simple puzzle to get their food. {Click HERE to read more.}

MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) — A Manhattan plant that prints sewing patterns for most major national sewing pattern companies will close by the end of the year after more than 50 years in Kansas.
McCall’s printing facility has been based in Manhattan since 1969. At its height the plant printed and folded about 200 million patterns a year. That production has dropped to between 20 million and 30 million.
