In the past two weeks we had great spring weather in our region and many classic car owners have already tasted the joy and freedom of driving their pride again. I hope that you have enjoyed the introduction of our new partner Montagna d'Oro in the previous newsletter, and that you have had a good look at their Italian car collection.
Yours truly has tested and photographed new arrivals at all the Classicar Garages, today nineteen newly arrived classic and sports cars for sale are presented. Restoration project updates may be expected in the next newsletter! Below you will be introduced to a very interesting variety of classic cars. Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen from Germany, Alfa Romeo, Autobianchi, Fiat and Lancia from Italy, Bentley, Jaguar, MG and TVR from the United kingdom, Saab from Sweden and Toyota from Japan. Mercedes-Benz 300 S Roadster, year 1953. Type W188. Colour light yellow combined with an ochre leather interior and light beige carpet. Brown mohair hood and ochre leather hood cover. This impressive and hand-built Mercedes-Benz 300 S is a highly sought after and rare Roadster model of the most exclusive 300 model range. The 300 was introduced on the Paris Motor Show in 1951 and production started from mid-1952. The press hailed the 300 as “car of the world elites” and as a “model for what can be achieved today in automobile construction”. The 300 S is a very well build luxury automobile indeed. Everything feels like being made for eternity. | VOLKSWAGEN KARMANN GHIA COUPÉ "OUTLAW", 1967 | |

Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Coupé, year 1967. Colour pale blue metallic combined with a light beige leather interior, light beige carpet and dark grey protective mats. This gorgeous Karmann Ghia Coupé was extensively restored, overhauled, and modified, the car can be placed in the current “outlaw” cult of improving the exterior, interior and mechanicals of a classic car to a higher and more modern standard. The bodywork of this VW Karmann Ghia was given much wider fenders which looks truly special. The gorgeous shape and lines of the car are accentuated by the wonderful and perfect light blue metallic paint and the chrome trim. The interior was upgraded with better seats and full leather upholstery. In the super clean engine compartment, you will find a powerful 2.4 litre air-cooled VW engine. Fiat 130 Coupé 3200, year June 1972. Colour silver metallic combined with a black leather interior and blue carpet. This magnificent Fiat 130 Coupé 3200 was sold new on 23 July 1973 to Mr. A. Franzarella in the city of Ostuni in the province of Brindisi, Puglia, Italy. The impressive and stylish Fiat 130 Coupé was designed by Paolo Martin of PininFarina. The Coupé was based on the Berlina floor section and the car was also produced at PininFarina. Only 4493 130 Coupé models were built from 1971 until 1977. This gorgeous Fiat 130 Coupé still has the Italian registration, and it can be imported to any country. The odometer shows 49.209 kilometres. Considering the super original and excellent condition of the car this is believed to be original. This Fiat 130 Coupé is a must see for the enthusiast and or collector. This example is a true time travelling machine in splendid condition!

Bentley Speed 8 ‘Le Mans by Racing Green Engineering, year chassis 1952. Chassis number B128SX, engine number B64X. Colour ‘triple black’, a black exterior combined with a black leather interior, and black weather equipment. This impressive Bentley Speed 8 was built by Racing Green Engineering in the UK in 2013. This ‘Le Mans’ special is based on a fully restored and strengthened 1952 Bentley chassis. The chassis was built-up with a powerful B81 6.5 Litre eight-cylinder engine mated to a fully synchronised four-speed manually operated gearbox. The VandenPlas ‘Le Mans’ type bodywork was perfectly hand crafted, and the interior was superbly upholstered using the finest leather and wool by the craftsmen of Racing Green Engineering. Since completion of the built this impressive machine has driven only 5000 kilometres. This magnificent Bentley Speed 8 ‘Le Mans’ Special is in a superb top condition! Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300 TI, year 1969. Colour dark green (Verde Muschio Chiaro) combined with a cognac brown (wild boar) leatherette interior and black rubber carpet. This wonderful Alfa Romeo Giulia was extensively restored with a good eye for originality. The bodywork is wonderful with a superb panel fit and excellent paint. The interior was newly upholstered with the correct leatherette on the seats in pale brown. The door panels were also renewed. The car was fitted with a new wiring loom, new rubbers and seals and a new exhaust. This beautiful Alfa Romeo 1300 TI is in excellent condition and the car drives perfectly. Autobianchi A112 Abarth, year 1984. Colour red combined with a black vinyl interior, dark grey carpet, and black rubber protective mats. This magnificent Autobianchi A112 Abarth was sold new in Italy to Mr. Matteo Milione. After him, the car has known only two Italian owners before the car was imported to the Netherlands by Montagna d’Oro. From new, the car has driven 99.988 kilometres, in Italy the motor and the brakes were overhauled, and the car received extensive service. This fantastic A112 Abarth is in excellent original condition, you will find only the slightest traces of use. Jaguar E-type 4.2 Litre series 1 FHC, year 1966. This is a "matching numbers" E-type, a Heritage certificate is present to confirm this. Colour silver metallic combined with a red leather interior and red carpet. This fabulous Jaguar E-type 4.2 Litre FHC was sold new by Jaguar Cars of New York to a Mr. L. Ryder of Kent, Washington. In the year 2002 the automobile was imported to the Netherlands. After arrival in the Netherlands the car was extensively ‘nut and bolt’ restored in the years 2005 – 2007. A photo report and documentation of the restoration is present. Everything was restored, overhauled and / or renewed. Costs nor effort were spared on this restoration. Saab 96 V4 De Luxe rally car, year of built 1968, first registration 14 January 1972 (Netherlands). Colour white combined with a black rally interior. Sparco bucket seats upholstered with black cloth and leather on the raised parts, black rubber carpet. This impressive Saab V4 was superbly built, modified, and tuned as a competitive and reliable historic rally car in the year 2009. The work was commissioned by the current owner who has cherished the car since 2009. The car is in very good to excellent condition. Recently the car was given extensive service by a Saab Specialist. The incredibly special tuned V4 engine was built by the firm Sweed Speed Racing (Saab V4 specialist) in the Netherlands. Engine specifications: V4 engine, 1770 cc, 130 bhp power, 200 Nm torque. This beautiful and quite rare Fiat 132 1800 S automatic was sold new in Rome Italy to Rolando Filipetti, the personal chauffeur of prime minister Giulio Andreotti. The car comes with many memorabilia of this relationship; A retirement farewell letter signed by Andreotti, Christmas card and a signed photo. Also, historic documents, and the original owner’s manual are present. The car shows all the original details, and the original interior is fully original and in immaculate condition.This fiat is in a very good to excellent original contdition, you will be hard pressed to find a better-preserved example!
