Building Community Through Story Since 2004

Dear Friend of PST, It's been a whole year now. And we've missed you, each and every one of you. We have missed the crafting and creating of stories, listening together in our storytelling community, the laughter, the tears, the hugs and handshakes, and interacting eye to eye, face to face, heart to heart. We've missed it all... Portland Story Theater is an investment in opening minds, challenging assumptions, and finding our common humanity. Our call to action has always been to step up, provide safe space for each other, and engage in ways that matter. And we hope to get back to that, with all of you, at some point in the not-too-distant future.   The plan was to have Lawrence Howard, Armchair Adventurer, tell the story of Fridtjof Nansen this coming weekend, live and in person, over at Nordia House... Think of it, an exciting story of daring and exploration, with people listening, engaged - lots of people on the edge of their seats - and delicious food and drinks from Broder. But, sadly, it's not the right time for that just yet. After postponing and rescheduling this show several times, we're just going to wait and see... maybe this Summer, in the Fall, next Spring? We're hoping for the best.

From very humble beginnings in 2004, Portland Story Theater has become the Pacific Northwest's premiere storytelling organization, bringing the true, personal stories of the people of Portland to life.
