CONCOURS D'ÉLÉGANCE PALEIS HET LOO 2016

From 1 until 3 July the most gorgeous classic car event of the Netherlands is being held: the 12th 'Concours d'Élegance Paleis het Loo' in Apeldoorn! This magnificent event in the squares and in the gardens of the historic Royal Palace will be frequented by the majority of the Dutch classic car enthusiasts and collectors. The 12th edition promises to be very special indeed; for the International Concours the organizers managed to attract 60 top specimen from the Netherlands and from all over Europe to battle for the title 'Best of Show'. The cars compete in the following classes: DINO (models 206/246GT  & 246GTS), 110 years Lagonda, 100 years BMW, 80 years Bugatti type 57, Alfa Romeo Giulia, Gentlemen Sport Cars of the years 1950 – 1960 & 1970, Interbellum Nostalgia, Special Coachwork pre & post war and Un-restored Pre-War.

Of course there will again be a delightful separate National concours d'élégance. This concours has now found a location closer to the Palace. Also the famous Vredestein 'Sprint' races with pre-war sports and racing cars will again take place on the brick road to the Palace. Theme displays are DINO 60 YEARS (all models), Renault autosport history, Renault Alpine, and 60 years PAC (Pionier Automobile Club). In the Palace gardens you will find the 'Royal Fair' with many merchants and companies presenting and selling fashion, jewelry, art, classic cars, accessories and memorablia.

In case you visit with your classic car you can park for free in the Classic Car Parking on the green of the Palace garden. This classic car parking hints to the bigger classic car park at the Goodwood Revival and it is absolutely worth a visit; you will find many special and rare cars parked which would be eligible for concours participation!
