Luke 18:31-33 Then He took the twelve aside and said to them, "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished. For He will be delivered to the Gentiles and will be mocked and insulted and spit upon. They will scourge Him and kill Him. And the third day He will rise again."
WE VIEW ALL OF GOD'S PROMISES THROUGH THE EMPTY TOMB
We make promises all the time. We fail to keep our promises all the time. If we were to give ourselves an honest "reliability percentage" what would we have to say about ourselves? Are we reliable 50% of the time? 80%?
Jesus told His disciples what was going to happen to Him ... and it did.
Jesus told His disciples what was going to happen on the third day ... and it did.
He kept His Word. He did what He said. He always does.
Now since we know from the empty tomb that He keeps His Promises, let's consider some of the other promises He made and know that they are as good as done!
Here are just a few. Can you add to the list today?
John 11:25-26 "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?"
John 14:2-3 "In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."
Matthew 28:20 " ... lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Christ is Risen! Hallelujah!
