EXPECT THE EXPECTED!
When it comes to movies, we often like the unexpected such as a plot twist or a surprise suspect in a murder mystery. Most people like to see the underdog win in a sporting event. The news media love the unexpected because it helps their ratings.
What about expecting the expected? That's boring. Yet when it comes to God's love and mercy, we do well to expect the expected. The Lord's mercy is sure. His strength is constant. His love is reliable. His promises are always kept.
In a world of constant change, it is a great thing to know that God never changes. The same God that was there for Adam, Noah, Abraham, David, John, and Paul is there for you in the same way. Expect your God to be the same. He is the constant that you need in your life.
