Wednesday 19 October

Our meeting next week sees the start of the 2022-23  Print Competition season with Round 1, which is being judged by Ed Cloutman EFIAP Hon.FWPF from South Wales.

Ed is a well known speaker on the club circuit and is a judge in the WPF, he visited us in October 2021 via Zoom to give us a talk on Bermudan clocks and what judges look for - we'll see tonight if we've matched what he's looking for in a picture.

Sorry, but I can find no other information on Ed, a Google search brings up many links to other clubs' programmes and competitions, but sadly no website links.

Writer's Block
This is a particularly thin edition, which can be put down to the fact that I've hit a brick wall when it comes to thinking of things to write about. If any of you budding wordsmiths out there have anything you think might interest your fellow members, please send it to me and I will endeavour to include it. What always makes articles more interesting is the inclusion of a couple of images, there are no special requirements for images, other than they be jpegs, size is not critical as I resize everything to a max of 600 pixels wide.
Please send your words of wisdom and/or images to bpsnewsletter@bristolphoto.org.uk, I've reserved a space in my inbox especially for you!

Trumpet Blowers' Corner
Salon acceptances:
Contrary to popular belief, I do not possess psychic powers and need you to tell me if you've had successes. If you want to blow your own trumpet (or someone else's), then this is the place to do it. Please let me know and I'll include details in a future issue.

Items For Sale
If you have any photographic items for sale, drop me a line and I'll include it in the next newsletter. Please make sure that you provide contact details, price and full description of the sale items (pictures always help).

IMPORTANT: Personal Detail Changes
Please don't forget that if you change your address (home or email), or gain additional photographic distinctions, it would be appreciated if you could let the Membership Secretary know so that she can keep her records up to date, this will also ensure that you continue to receive your newsletters - please email all changes to membership@bristolphoto.org.uk

The distinctions we have on record are those shown at the top of this newsletter, please remember, if you don't tell us we can't possibly know!
