SKY 1 TV REQUEST

'm writing from Princess Productions, makers of The Wright Stuff, T4 & Something For The Weekend, about a new series we are producing with Sky 1.

We are working with the UK's top streetdance guru and he is passionate about teaching everyone to dance, regardless of experience or age. We are looking for groups that may be interested in taking part and learning a new skill and we would love to get some art enthusiasts involved with the project.

At the moment we would be hoping for an afternoon or evening to film with any potentially interested groups. Ideally they would all be from the same Art Gallery, all know each other and have a great working relationship. We'd love to meet groups who wouldn't consider themselves usual streetdance candidates but are up for a challenge.

No dance experience is necessary. Each of the programmes will culminate in a performance to the group's nearest and dearest so at this stage it would be great if you could keep the nature of the filming to yourselves.

If a group of art enthusiasts did end up taking part in the series it would be a fantastic surprise when their friends, family and colleagues see the final performance.

Right now we are just looking for an afternoon or evening's filming to get an idea of the characters in the group and we can organise this at your convenience some point early next week. Ideally we're looking for a group of 6. The show is already in production and were looking for the last group in the series. The filming will take place over August and obviously we will fit filming dates around your lives.

POSTER CHALLENGE

Art Belows latest poster challenge is in collaboration with Rooms Magazine.
We are challenging artists and designers to come up with a poster design that has the appearance of an advertisement. Please see below for examples.

The winning poster design will be displayed with Art Below as a (1 m x 1.5m) poster in a major London Underground station for 2 weeks this October. Rooms Magazine will also run a feature on the winning artist and their underground poster in the December 2011 issue.

The winning entry will be a joint selection by Art Below and Rooms Magazine. Selected entries and runners up will be displayed online.

Johan Andersson on Sky Art's 'Art of Survival' Starting Thursday 21st July

A Regular Exhibitor with Art Below, Johan Andersson is one of four artists to feature on this year's 'Art of Survival' on Sky.

The 4 artists were dropped in Athens, Greece with no money, no credit cards and only their
talent to get them back home for a prestigious appearance at the Edinburgh Festival.

By painting, performing and by virtue of bare-faced cheek, the four artistic
adventurers have just their art and inspiration to survive on as they make their way
across Europe, with the winning team being the pair that has made the most money
throughout the trip.
