Cartooning for Beginners
Workshops begin this Saturday, April 9
If you enjoy drawing and doodling, you're going to love this workshop!
Local cartoonist Cara Goldstein will lead a series of cartooning workshops at BookShop West Portal, starting this Saturday. Goldstein, who was awarded the Yale University National Teacher Fellowship last year, will teach character development, movement, expression, storyboarding, inking, and coloring. Lessons will include demos, worksheets, and examples of cartoonists. The culmination of this class is the start of your own personal comic book! Materials are included in the fee.

Goldstein has taught at SOTA and in the California public schools for over five years. Her mentor, Al Baruch, is the creator of Captain Hook in Peter Pan for Disney.
