Hello everybody!

Todays recording tips ended up with focus on E.q

For a 'loud' track.
-Boost wide at around 4KHz.
Humans are most sensetive in the midranges.

Need a Salsa style piano?
-Cut 440Hz hard.

400-500Hz
Is where clody, boxiness of sound is.
Got too much 'room sound' on a source?
-Cut around this area.

For a natural sounding E.Q.
-Boost wide, cut narrow

When using a parametric one way you can use is to:
-Boost a lot and sweep around until you find the spot
you want to cut/boost.
(Use a relatively narrow Q/'wideness' when using this technique.)

'Feathering'
As all E.q:s add phase shift when used much.
- Instead of +5.db@85Hz, use +2.db@80Hz
- +2.db@90Hz , get the picture ?
