After the success of their knitted garden in 2005 the BHKC have challenged knitters
across the UK to unite and create a life-sized knitted picnic to help
celebrate Shaun the Sheep’s return to the small screen.
The idea is to re-create your favourite picnic memories in knitted form.
Be it sunny days in the park or soggy sandwiches on the beach; if you can
see it on a picnic you can knit it.
If you are interested in contributing to this massive knitted work The Camden Green Fair will host one of the UK’s
first Picknits on Sunday 3rd June at Regent’s
Park. It may even inspire you to hold your own Picknit this summer.
SUNDAY 3RD JUNE
Time: From 12 noon – 7pm
Venue: Regent’s Park
Nearest tube: Great Portland Street
look forward to seeing you there. And keep your eye out for other weekend
knitting events coming very soon (like the London Knit
Crawl on the 9th of June - International
Knit in Public Day!)
may the stitch be with you.
