Chers Amis,
Pour ce Dimanche , nous irons à la découverte de la vallée Sainte de la Kadicha à partir de Hadath el Jebbé.
Kadicha signifie littéralement saint en Syriaque. La vallée accueille certains des plus anciens monastères chrétiens du Moyen-Orient, comme le Monastère de Notre Dame de Qannoubine qui fut le siège du Patriarcat Maronite, le Monastère Mar Elisha (Saint Elisée) et le Monastère Saint Antoine Qozhaya.
Une journée aux pas lents et au son des cloches qui se répercutent sur les falaises séculaires de la vallée. Une journée sous le signe de la paix intérieure et surtout de la relaxation. C’est sur la section 6 du LMT que nous entamerons ces 12 kms. Nous commencerons notre rando à partir du village de Hadath el Jebbé pour amorcer une descente vers le fond de la vallée au village de Qannoubine et traverser la rivière.
De là nous nous dirigerons vers le couvent deserté de Mar Aboun avant d'aboutir à Mazraet el Naher où le bus nous attendra.
Cette rando fait partie d'une série d'évements organisés par Lebanese Adventure en partenariat avec la Lebanon Mountain Trail Association (LMTA).

Quoi amener:
Chaussures de marche,sac à dos, gourde,casse-croûte (sandwich, chocolat, fruits secs...),lunettes de soleil, crème solaire.
Frais de participation:
Les frais de participation s'élèvent à 33$ par personne (ou 50,000 L.L.) incluant le transport en bus, l'assurance et les guides.(Apportez la monnaie exacte)
Le rendez-vous est à 7:30 am précise au parking qui est près de l’urgence de l'hôpital du Sacré Cœur à Hazmieh. Pour y arriver prendre la bifurcation à droite juste apres Pain d'Or. C'est le 1er parking a votre gauche. Soyez Ponctuels !

Dear Friends,
For this Sunday we will discover the Holy Valley of the Kadicha.
Kadisha means "Holy" in Aramic, and the valley, sometimes called the Holy Valley, has sheltered Christian monastic communities for many centuries. The Kadisha Holy Valley harbors the most ancient Christian monasteries of the Middle East : The Qannubin Monastery used to be the seat of the Maronite Patriarch, The Monastery of Mar Lishaa and The Monastery of St Anthony of Qozhaya.
A day spending with the everlasting echoes of bells sounds over the centuries-old cliffs Valley. We will spent this day under the sign of inner peace and relaxation.
It is on section 6 of the LMT that we will walk 12 kms.
Our hike starts from Hadath el Jebbeh to descend towards Qannoubine village and then cross the river.
From there we will head towards the abandoned monastery of Mar Aboun before we reach Mazraet el Naher where the bus will be waiting for us.

Meeting:
is at 7:30 am at the parking next to the Emergency Entrance of the Sacré Cœur hospital Hazmieh. To reach it, turn right towards Pain d'Or. The Parking is the 1st one on you left. Please, be on time!
