Teacher Appreciation and Back2School Night - August 15

Perhaps one of the finest callings in life is to instruct, inform, and guide the lives of youngsters as a teacher.  So as teachers head back to school for another year of preparin' our youth for happy and fulfilling lives, we honor them with a few specials and some good times.

So - on Friday, August 15th, start promptly at 4pm and runnin' "as long as it takes" we'll be providin' some special specials to all our fine teachers.
  • $1 off all regular priced drinks - anything you please
  • $2 off all appetizers - those are the items under Shnackers on the menu
  • Plus, don't forget all the regular specials you get on Fridays: $4 Jameson, $3 Boulevard Draws and more
Of course, it bein' a Friday, we'll have Live Music startin at 7pm from Grace Maher and the Wayward Sons.  If'n you haven't heard them, then you ought to, if'n you already have, well - then you know what to do.

Live Music You MUST Hear

There's music and then there's Live Music.  Now, you might know we have Live Music every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday - all summer long.  But what you might not know is the numerous studies and scientific evidence linking live music to better attitudes and happier times.  Moreso than recorded music, it seems Live Music has been proven to lift one's soul and soothe one's mood.  Some folks have even used Live Music Therapy to great results in hospitals and the like...Google it, if'n you don't believe...like this study...or perhaps this'n.

Which brings us to the music you MUST hear...with all those good effects, there'll be all the more reasons to come and give a listen.  We put together a great lineup for the rest of August and thru September, with the next couple o' weeks listed below -- come n' give them a listen and let your weekend therapy take hold.

Thurs, August 7 - Ethan Ridings
Fri, August 8 - Brett Blakemore
Sat, August 9 - Andy DeWitt

Thurs, August 14 - Garry Lincoln
Fri, August 15 - Grace and the Wayward Sons
Sat, August 16 - Garry Lincoln
Sun, August 17 (St. Practice) - Joel McNulty

Music starts at 7p, but the feastin', embibin', and debauchery goes on all day long.

There are a lot more events coming up all the time - keep in touch on our website or via Twitter and Facebook.
