You can click on the filenames in the right-hand column to see thumbnails of these maps.

Checkout [ Downloading New Maps from the All Topo Maps Server ] for detailed instructions on how to download maps.

Remember that there is now a choice to automatically update every applicable map from within All Topo Maps. From the main All Topo Viewer window select "Updates: Choose Map Revision: Updates: Update All Map Sets via Web."  Before you do this, make sure you save any annotations and projects as the viewer will have to restart after the update.

Updated Map DVD Available Now

If you have trouble downloading updated maps via the internet, we now have a DVD that contains only the updated maps produced since the last full release of each state.

This DVD (Part Number ATMUMI00 - Build 8177) includes all of the updated maps scanned after the latest released version (DVD/Historic Sets). First Class US Mail shipping is included for addresses that have a US Zip Code. This disk was released June 12, 2013. All of the maps on this disk are also available by download.

The following links list the maps included on this update DVD:

[ by Mapname ]  [ by State, Mapname ]  [ by Scan Date ]

If you don't have the latest full release of a product, then all of the updated maps may not be included on the update disk.

You can order this disk from our online store with this link -> [ Purchase ATMUMI00 - Build 8177 ]

Latest All Topo Map Viewer Build

Several enhancements have been made to the All Topo Viewer. I will include a short list below, but one common question comes from existing customers upgrading their computers to Windows 7 or Windows 8.

Q: "Will All Topo Maps run under Windows 7 or Windows 8?"

A: "Yes" All Topo Maps will work great on these operating systems. However, you may benefit from purchasing a new 'Install Disk 0'. The latest installer allows for three types of installations:

1. The traditional 'All Topo Maps' everything in one folder (C:\ATMV7Pro\ by default).

2. The generally accepted Windows method: program components in one folder, data components in an Application data folder and project files in 'My Documents.' (This method really strings All Topo files all over a machine.)

3. A 'Portable' configuration where all files are stored on attached media (like a flash drive or an external USB disk.)

The enhanced installer can't convert an existing installation type to another install type. But if you are doing a clean install, you may benefit from a portable installation. (I personally would never use the Windows method unless I was absolutely forced to by a system administrator. It makes it nearly impossible to find stuff and troubleshoot data problems.)

You can update your viewer to the latest version with this link: [ B8175 ]

Here is a short list of the latest, important updates:

Build 8173
Apr 29, 2013

> Fixes issue with some maps failing to build color palettes when hillshading.

Build 8170
Apr 18, 2013

> New option to shift BLM 100K maps to reflect inaccurate collar datum notation (maps listed as NAD83 are most likely NAD27.) This 'fixes' a 200 ft East/West misalignment of map features, especially PLS grids. Turn it on from the main menu "Options: Fix BLM 100K Maps". When enabled the existence of this shift will display a warning message every time a BLM 100K map is loaded.

Build 8166
Mar 1, 2013

> Added new tool in Waypoint List: "Edit: Convert Tokens to Values." The option will evaluate selected (highlighted) lines and convert tokens (like "%miles '0.000'%") to values (like "21.314 Miles".)

Build 8157
Feb 14, 2013

LR2000
Coordinate
Support

> A new PLS style has been added: MTRSQQ which displays and loads clipboard with BLM LR2000 compatible coordinates. You can choose the MTRS with these precisions:
(3)  26 0010N 0010W 036 SE,NE
(2)  26 0010N 0010W 036 SE
(1)  26 0010N 0010W 036
(0)  26 0010N 0010W

> The matching token for MTRS has been added. "%MTRS%" accepts a precision value (the default is 3):

%MTRS 3%  26 0010N 0010W 036 SE,NE
%MTRS 2%  26 0010N 0010W 036 SE
%MTRS 1%  26 0010N 0010W 036
%MTRS 0%  26 0010N 0010W

Build 8152
Feb 11, 2013

> Note: A defective (un-mountable) CD or DVD inserted into a source drive will make AllTopo appear to hang.

> Note: A mapped network drive that is unavailable will make AllTopo appear to hang if any source or destination is targeted at the drive.

> Program updates are now hosted at AWS via http://alltopoupdate.com

Build 8142
Feb 4, 2013

> Directory settings are now stored when you leave 'System Options'. Restart of All Topo is no longer required for BigTopo9 to utilize cached or on disk maps.

X90-OPUS GPS Receiver

If you have need for collecting GPS data for OPUS-Static, OPUS-RS or Static GPS Campaigns we may have just the receiver for you. Checkout our (iGage exclusive) [ X90-OPUS Receiver ]. It has a breakthrough price, fantastic performance and we (iGage) wrote the Download tool as an extension of the All Topo viewer.

One of the neatest features is the download tool decimates the observation data, zips up the observation file and automatically fills in the NGS OPUS submission form for you with a single button click.

As the passive control network falls apart, active CORS based control is going to become very important. I think that the X90-OPUS receiver will fill this need, at the most reasonable price around.
