April Memory Verse
Palms 119:18, "I have chosen the way of truth;
thy judgments have I laid before me
.”

- Our Church's "Mission Statement" -

Many places of business will post very prominently a "Missions Statement." The Business Dictionary defines a mission statement as, "a written declaration of an organization's core purpose & focus that normally remains unchanged over time. It serves as a filter to separate what is important from what is not; and communicates the intended direction for the entire organization."

Jesus gave our church our "Mission Statement" in Matthew 28:19-20. With our annual Faith Promise World-wide Missions Conference coming up next week (April 29-May 3) we are re-focusing our attention on world missions.

I am asking our church members to...
  • Immerse Our Lives In The Will of God According To the Word Of God! (Romans 12:1-2)
By this, I mean, to fully dedicate ourselves to the Lord Jesus Christ and yield our will to His will in every area of our lives.
  • Involve Ourselves In Fully In Declaring The Gospel Of Jesus Christ To The Lost Throughout The World! (Mark 16:15)
This means beginning where we are at, witnessing to the lost in our neighborhoods, while at the same time doing all we can to reach our nation and the nations of the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • Invest Our Future And Our Finances In The Great Commission! (2 Corinthians 8:5)
First, I determine if it is God's will for me, personally to go to the mission field then secondly, determine how much God would have me to give to support those who are going.
  • Intensify Our Prayers For God To Raise Up More Missionaries And For God's Will To Be Done In Our Conference! (Luke 10:2)
Missions begins with God and God's very first instructions concerning the need for missionaries is to pray. Let's pray with all our hearts that God will raise up "laborers" for the great harvest fields of our world.

Next week begins our Annual World-Wide Faith Promise Missions Conference (April 29-May 3.) Brother Dan Delong is our featured speaker and we have three missionary families joining us: The Weber family heading to Mongolia; the Grinstead family heading to Argentina; and the Kevkota family heading to Nepal. What a privilege to have an active part in taking the Gospel into all the world!

This Sunday morning at 10:45 a.m. I'm bringing a message, "Do I Love The Lord" from John 21. In the evening we'll be preaching a message from James chapter 3 entitled "The Power Of The Tongue."

Follow us on Facebook or Twitter to keep up with what is happening around here and, please check out our website at www.mlibc.org.

Bring your Bible and a friend and I'll be looking for you Sunday!

Sincerely, your friend,
