Great Backyard Bird Count- Pickering Creek Audubon Center
Saturday, February 18,  9 AM-12 PM
Location: Main Office
This fun, family-friendly event is a great way to get involved in wildlife monitoring.  Most bird watching will be done from the display room at Center office, which offers a great view of our FeederWatch garden area. Experienced birders will be on hand to help with identification. A PowerPoint slide show with birds you are likely to see will run throughout the day.  Assorted field guides and binoculars will be available for volunteer use. There will be crafts, activities, and hot beverages for children and adults. Prizes and giveaways will be offered to volunteers in appreciation for enthusiastic participation throughout the day.  To register please call Samantha at 410-822-4903 or email spitts@audubon.org.

You can also count birds in your own backyard.  Find out how here:  http://www.birdsource.org/gbbc
