Greetings friends!

Patty and I are excited to say that we're on our way to Afghanistan with a team of 8 amazing people from Flatirons.  I'm writing this from Dubai, our last stop with only one more 3-hour flight into Kabul in the morning.

You're receiving this email because you either asked to be kept up to date on our trips -OR- I added you because I thought you'd want to be.  If you don't want to receive regular emails from us over the next couple weeks, simply click on the "leave mailing list" link at the bottom of all the emails and you'll be removed immediately.  You can also change/update your email address if you want.

As always you can keep up on the team's progress on the Flatirons Church blog: http://www.flatironschurch.com/international   There are currently other teams reporting from Uganda and Jamaica, so to find our team's blog entries scroll down the page a bit and look on the right side for the tag for "Afghanistan" and that should bring up our most current post.

As I've said before, I’ll try to send an update every day, but please don’t worry if you don’t hear from me for a day or two (or three) – it doesn’t mean anything bad has happened.  Electricity and Internet service are frequently interrupted and getting updates out regularly can sometimes be a challenge.

We definitely appreciate your prayers and good thoughts till we return.

Thank you!

--Bob
