Announcements

We are very excited to welcome you back to the Dorff-Nelson Chapel! We look forward to seeing you soon. Here are Temple Beth Am's Reopening Guidelines:

Vaccinated Adults and Children Over 12
If you are fully immunized (two weeks past the Johnson & Johnson shot or two weeks past your second Moderna or Pfizer shot), you are no longer subject to mask or social distancing requirements at Temple Beth Am. Therefore, you will be permitted to attend the Library Minyan or any minyan in the building or outdoors, or any other event, without regard to the mask and social distancing requirements previously in place.

Unvaccinated Adults
Vaccines are now widely available for adults. Adults who are not vaccinated will not be permitted to attend the Library Minyan or any indoor minyanim at Temple Beth Am for religious services or communal programs. Temple Beth Am will provide reasonable accommodations for all persons with a qualified disability. For more information, to discuss further, or any emergency regarding these policies, please contact our Executive Director Sheryl Goldman at sgoldman@tbala.org.

Proof of Vaccination for Indoor Services and Events Required
As permitted by Los Angeles County's new regulations, Temple Beth Am will be asking all people age 12 and over attending indoor services or other indoor events to show proof of vaccination as a requirement of entering the building (including Elbaz Family Foundation Gymnasium). We encourage you and your guests to submit proof of vaccination here on our vaccine registry so that you don't need to bring your vaccination card with you to campus each time you enter the building. This site is closed for the weekend; it opens again on Monday morning. Registration for services is no longer necessary.

Outdoor Service and Event Requirements
Proof of vaccination will not be required for entry to outdoor areas, including Ziering Family Field. However, masks will be required in all outdoor areas for persons who are not vaccinated. In addition, we will post signs outdoors reminding all those who are not vaccinated to remain masked.

Haftarah Plethora
In the Haftarah Plethora for Ḥukkat, Larry takes a cue from Yiftaḥ to give a geography and history lesson while Rick shows how the trope guides us to important turning points in the narrative. The boys sing two different versions of Wonderful World which may or may not account for Millie's great big smile. Shabbat Shalom.
