Dear classic car enthusiast,
The tree-leaves are colouring into beautiful shades of red, orange, yellow and brown in our region. That implicates that we in northern Europe should prepare our cars for the winter in about two weeks… Two weeks to still enjoy delightful classic rides on the open road! Over the last weeks yours truly has tested and photographed over 30 newly arrived classic and sports cars for sale. In today’s newsletter, I present 22 quality cars for you to inspect closely.
Your attention was first caught by the fabulous and rare 1958 BMW 503 coupe pictured above, only 273 cars of this type have been built. British cars are leading the pack today with splendid models built by Austin Healey, Aston Martin, Jaguar, MG and Triumph. The German ‘gründlichkeit’ is represented by the likes of BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche. Italy must settle for only two entries of which one is a very desirable Fiat 600 Multipla!

This fabulous ‘Big Healey’ was sold new in Colorado, USA. In the year 2004 the automobile was extensively restored and overhauled in the Netherlands. The car has driven only 3533 miles ever since. This fine Austin Healey is in excellent to superb condition and the car drives perfectly!

It is always a sheer delight to drive a Lotus Elan; these cars deliver in my opinion the ultimate sporty classic driving experience. This fine Lotus Elan S4 features the original Lotus Sprint ‘Big Valve’ four-cylinder engine which delivers a healthy 126 bhp. Combined with the low weight of the car (699 kilograms) this results in a very spririted and agile motorcar! This Lotus Elan has been serviced and maintained very well; the car is in very good condition.

BMW 503 coupe, year 1958. Colour blue metallic with a beige leather interior and beige carpet. This fabulous and very rare BMW 503 was sold new in Belgium. The 503 comes from the second series in which the engine is built in unit with the gearbox. This fine BMW was extensively restored using many new parts. The restoration was completed in the year 2012, a very extensive restoration reportage is present. This rare (only 273 built) BMW 503 coupe is in a fantastic condition! Fiat 600 Multipla, year 1963. Colour crème white over pale olive green. Red vinyl interior trimmed with white piping. This wonderful Fiat 600 Multipla was extensively restored a few years ago. Many original details have been retained. This Fiat Multipla is in superb condition and the car drives very well. The Fiat Multipla has been cherished by enthusiasts since decades; the Multipla is a true ‘cult car’ like the VW bus.

Porsche 911 T, year 1970. Colour white (Elfenbein Weiss) with a black interior and black carpet. In the year 2014 the Porsche was restored in the Netherlands. The body work shows crip lines, a beautiful panel fit and superb paint work. A photo reportage of this restoration is present. The original 2.2 litre engine was earlier (in the USA period) replaced by a 1968 2 Litre unit. This 911 is in excellent to superb condition and the car drives perfectly!

The open driving experience is magnificent! The car features chrome wire wheels, overdrive, an electric cooling-fan, and modified steering gear (more precise and much lighter steering).

Triumph TR 6 PI, year 1971. Colour Royal Blue with a black interior and a black soft-top. This is a relatively rare European AND left hand drive Triumph TR 6 PI fitted with petrol injection. This fabulous TR 6 PI is in excellent condition. The car was recently extensively improved to a high level. A TR 6 in European ‘PI’ (CP) specification is very special; the car features a lusty six cylinder in-line engine delivering 150 bhp, 4- speed gearbox with overdrive and a top speed of 200 km/h (125 mph). In the late 1960ies and 1970ies that were staggering figures for a sporty roadster.

| FACEL VEGA THEME EXHIBITION AT INTERCLASSICS 2017 | |

The InterClassics 2017 at the MECC in Maastricht will be the venue for a 'GRAND' Facel Vega theme exhibition. The display of 8 up to 10 exclusive Facel Vega models is made possible by Amicale Facel Holland in cooperation with their partner Classic Job. The COMPLETE Facel Vega model range will be on display. | RESTORATION PROJECTS AT AMICALE FACEL HOLLAND | |

At Amicale Facel Holland (AFH) many Facel Vega restoration projects are being carried out by the skilled craftsmen. We have updated the Facel Vega FV4 project and we have added a new project of a Facel Vega FV3B. Both cars are in the sheet metal phase of their 'body off' restorations. In the photos you can see how badly rusted 60 year old automobiles can be. No problem at AFH, the cars will be as good as new, even better, after the work is finished.
