Matthew 25:31 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

HOW? IN GLORY!

There are many theories and ideas floating around out in society as to how Jesus will return. Hearing such ideas and reading about them can only serve to remind us of Jesus own words in Matthew 24:26, "Therefore if they say to you, 'Look, He is in the desert!' do not go out; or 'Look, He is in the inner rooms!' do not believe it."

Jesus return will not be in the quiet, humble manner in which He first appeared on earth. Jesus, in verse 27 of Matthew 24, describes His return as a flash of lightning which stretches across the entire sky. Peter speaks of the how, as the elements of the earth burning up with a fervent heat. On more than one occasion Jesus further speaks of how He will return saying in verses 30 and 31 of Matthew 24: "Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet."

Not in the desert will He suddenly appear; not suddenly in the inner rooms unannounced and unnoticed. When Jesus returns, there will not be a person who will miss the sight. Jesus' return will reveal Him to the entire world as the glorious Lord and King of all the earth, seated on the throne in majesty and power, with all the heavenly hosts surrounding Him. What a great and wonderful sight that will be!
