Community Hall Information
As your new hall bookings manager, I’m really excited about the
possibilities for community events in our beloved hall in 2016.
The hall has been freshly painted, has Wi-Fi and is about to have a
projector and sound system installed. So what do you want to
happen at the hall? I can help you set up a group, event or
activity.
Some ideas to consider could be open mic performances, board games
night, movie night, a women’s group / men’s group, guest speakers,
music, kid’s activities, meals / cooking demonstrations / art
classes. If you have a particular talent or skill, why not
consider starting a class in the hall?
Island residents can hire the hall for just $15 per hour (Wi-Fi and
Projector is extra).
Please contact me with ideas, thoughts, comments and contributions and
let’s see what we can make happen this year.
Also did you know that you can hire the hall for private use? It’s a
great location for a kid’s party – with kitchen facilities and lots of
space for active children. A three hour hire costs $82.00.

Pittwater Going Gone?
Message from AVALON PRESERVATION TRUST
This is an urgent message reminding you that to attend either of the
Public Enquiry meetings at Mona Vale Golf Club next Tuesday February 2,
you must register by 9am on Monday February 1.
The meetings are 1-5pm and 7-10pm.
If the venue reaches its capacity registration will close earlier.
You can do so by emailing your registration through this website link
https://www.councilboundaryreview.nsw.gov.au/proposals/pittwater-and-warringah-councils/#meetings
(This website also enables you to make a written submission.
The closing date for submissions is 5pm February 28.)
or by phoning 1300 813 020 (available 24/7).
It has been reported that large numbers of residents from Warringah
have already registered and plan to swamp the meeting. The Golf Club
only holds a limited number and apparently large numbers of Warringah
residents have already registered. It is believed they will push the
one council option.
Your presence is essential if you wish to protect the Pittwater we are
proud of and love.
