Kayak Advanced Moving Water Weekend – North Wales
18th to 20th October 2024
A great opportunity for those who want to improve their Whitewater Skills.
The weekend will be run in and around North Wales, with the Bala Bunkhouse (Bala Bunk House) providing our accommodation and base.
Trip Information
- The cost of the accommodation will be £65 a head. We will split food costs equally between those on the trip (roughly £10 each)
- Any boat hire costs can be discussed with individuals, if required.
- Participants are responsible for their own transport to North Wales, although SSWAC will put people in contact with each other to arrange car sharing where possible.
- There must be an adult attending who is responsible for the wellbeing and behaviour of any participant under 18 when not on the water. This may be a Leader, nominated adult or non-paddling parent/guardian
Pre-requisites
We expect to be paddling the Rivers Tryweryn and Dee which are more advanced rivers. Those coming should have the Paddle UK White Water Award or be able to paddle to a similar standard on Grade 2/3 water.
To reserve your place, please complete the online application form which can be found by clicking here.
Be quick as spaces are limited. We will need to review your paddling experience. Assuming it is ok, you will be notified that you have a place, and requested to make payment for the accommodation to confirm your attendance.
