Masters of Print 2022
You will all have heard Steve Field refer to this. Steve is still without a PC (awaiting return from repair) and has now had to deal with family matters so I (Mike Martin) have volunteered to take on co-ordinating our entry.

For newer members or those with short memories, Masters of Print is billed as the foremost Print Competition within the UK and each year aims to accept the best 60 Prints (20 Nature, 20 Colour, 20 Mono). It is a real achievement to gain an acceptance, but it isn’t just about gaining an acceptance. This year eligibility has been tightened to encourage NEW work rather than images that have previously done well on the salon circuit. This means EVERYONE has a better chance of being accepted, on an equal basis (unlike last year where the checking was a little slack).

Clubs also gain recognition for their role in supporting the art of Printing, by gaining points for each entry, acceptance and awarded image, the club achieving the highest score being awarded the prestigious Hahnemuhle Gold Club trophy (won by BPS in 2021, 2020 and should have been our in 2021!). the more people that enter, the better our chances of winning (last year BPS members entered a very commendable 94 images). TOGETHER LETS WIN IT AGAIN Laughing

Eligible images: No image may be entered if it has:
  • been previously seen in a National or PAGB event (eg GB Cup/Trophy, PAGB Inter Club PDI* or Print* competition or Inter Federation Battle)
  • been published in an exhibition catalogue including a DVD or online catalogue (eg any FIAP/BPE/PSA salon, etc.)
  • been accepted previously in any category of any previous masters of print Competition (ie all acceptances).
Images which have only been seen inside the Entrant’s Club or in local inter-Club competitions and any which have not been exhibited outside your Federation are eligible (so WCPF Members Exhibition, DPIC, etc. are still eligible.
You may enter a maximum of 5 Prints – Cost £3 per print (BPS is covering postage)

* Exceptionally, images which have been used as part of a Club entry to the PAGB Inter-Club Print and/or PDI Championships in the same calendar year as entry to the Masters of Print are eligible.
