7-Night Festival of Story Goodness
Only Three More Chances

For the past two weeks the intimate Hipbone Studio has drawn Portlanders to Singlehandedly, Portland Story Theater's third annual solo festival. Enthralled audiences have rewarded these performances with standing ovations and comments like:

"That was a wonderful evening..." and "I loved the surprise twist at the end of Brad's story. Great!" and "It's so easy to get into the story. I was transported."

All Singlehandeldy! shows are 3-up with one long-form and two short-form stories.

On Friday, May 6th, it’s Ryan Wolf Stroud, a favorite at Portland Story Theater. Stroud has a mystical way of weaving his stories  together. “The Most Beautiful Place on Earth ” tells a tale of a young man transformed by the wilderness around him, the stories that shaped him, and the narrative he now claims as his own. Appearing with Stroud on May 6th is Brad Clark telling, “Once in A Lifetime," a charming, funny story about how a chance meeting led to a lifetime of love. Enrique Eduardo Andrade shares his journey of becoming a court interpreter, the detours along the way, and the cultural capital that we all need to authentically connect.

Saturday, May 7th will see the return of “Teenage Commando.” Having opened the festival to delighted audiences, auGi aka SexyNurd's repeat performance is bound to keep you laughing in amazement at what can happen when a “Nurd” tries to be Rambo. Sharon Knorr, a veteran actor and published author, delivers a story about hell, husbands, HIV, and other pesky “H” words that can wander into our lives. Talen Nikolai ‘Niko’ Moe has a very unique style – captivating, fast-paced, and just plain fun. This will be his only appearance in the festival so try not to miss it. He’s great.

Then on Friday, May 13th it's the final night of Singlehandedly! with Lynne Duddy, Lawrence Howard, and Slash Coleman

There are still tickets available for all three shows. It's a terrific line-up of original performances, call 503-793-5484 today or email reservations@portlandstorytheater.com or buy online at Brown Paper Tickets.

May the narrative be with you!
