Huntsville Town Hall and Community Center Fundraising Kickoff
One of the endearing traditions of the Holiday Season is giving gifts to those we love. One thing we all love is the Town of Huntsville. In the spirit of the season, we invite you to remember Historic Huntsville on your gift list this year.
October 7, 2023 was the groundbreaking, commencing construction of the new Huntsville Town Hall and Community Center. The project is now well underway.
The Centennial of the incorporation of Huntsville Town is 2024, and we hope to complete the new Town Hall and Community Center by July 4, 2024 to celebrate our Centennial and America’s Independence.
The cost of constructing the New Town Hall and Community Center is approximately $2.2 mil. Most of the funds for construction have been obtained by selling the old town hall, obtaining government grants and some very generous private donations. However, we are still approximately $400,000 short. We need your help.
We need the friends of Historic Huntsville to step forward now, giving generously this Holiday Season, to fill the funding gap. If we unite as neighbors and friends in this worthy cause the entire community will enjoy the New Town Hall and Community Center as a Centennial legacy for generations to come.
Beginning today, and continuing throughout January, Huntsville Town is accepting Donations/Pledges to reserve a space on the Donor Honor Walls to be located throughout the new Town Hall. The names of contributors/families will be etched in stone or bronze plaques mounted on these Honor Walls, recognizing the generous donations.
The Honor Walls will have sections recognizing the following classes of donors:
- Huntsville Hero’s: $10,000 or more
- Platinum Donors: $5,000
- Gold Donors: $2,500
- Silver donors: $1,000
- Bronze Donors: $500
For a limited time, gold, silver and bronze donors can double their donation with funds from a
generous private donation made for that purpose. So those who donate $2,500 will be acknowledged on the Honor Wall Plaque as $5,000 Platinum donors; those who make $1,000
donations will be acknowledged as $2,000 donors; and those who make $500 donations will
be acknowledged as $1,000 Silver donors.
We offer flexibility, too - make the pledge now, and the payment may be made anytime before April 2024.
