All the famous artists on Scotland Island and the Bays are having
another ARTMART lots of lovely stuff for sale, or to look
at, The opening night at the shed for drinks, some simple food for the
fingers (the rest of you can go hungry), good conversation, some art to
see ,some drinks to be had, (the bar is open).
We look forward to seeing you there, We have credit card
facilities.
A percentage of sales goes to the Scotland Island Fire Brigade.

Congratulations Local Builder!
Local
Pittwater building company R W Stidwill Constructions has
been successfully judged as a finalist in the 2010 HIA-CSR NSW Housing
Awards in the category of “Custom Built Home over $2 million” for the
project at 103 Florence Terrace Scotland Island.
The announcement came last month and is very exciting news for the
offshore building business.
As 1 of 5 finalists across NSW, their outstanding achievements have
been recognised by the HIA judging team and their contribution to the
industry will be formally acknowledged at the 40th anniversary Award's
presentation night to be held on Saturday 23rd October 2010 at the
Sydney Convention Centre, Darling Harbour.
Having worked in the offshore community for over 15 years, this is
significant recognition for Elvina Bay resident Ryan Stidwill and his
team of loyal tradesmen from the building industry.
R W Stidwill Constructions's work is speckled amongst Pittwater and the
Bays, and the Northern Beaches, and varies from new homes, boatsheds,
to alterations and additions on existing homes within Pittwater and the
surrounding areas. The company utilises many local tradesmen within the
Pittwater community including carpenters and an electrician,
additionally they employ 2 offshore residents of the 3 apprentices
within the company.

Paddlecraft’s Paddle for Breast Cancer
23rd
October
Proudly
supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation,
Paddlecraft Kayaks at the Bayview Marina is hosting our
annual fundraising paddle on October 23rd, in sponsorship of October
Breast Cancer Month.
Starting at 7:30am, this all weather Pittwater paddling event is open
to all paddlers on either their own craft or Paddlecraft will provide a
hire kayak free of charge! Paddlers are encouraged to raise money by
collecting sponsorship donations for their paddle – sponsorship forms
available at Paddlecraft’s Bayview Marina shop or email us at
info@paddlecraft.com.au
Participating paddlers needing a hire kayak will be required to book
ahead and to submit sponsorship funds prior to the event start.
Launching from the Bayview Marina, the paddle will include a 6km paddle
around Scotland Island.
So get your kayak in the water and just start paddling – for October
