Asia Fair Trade Summit 2016      
The Asia Fair Trade Summit, 19 - 22 October 2016, Near Bangkok, Thailand
The Asian meeting of Fair Trade Organisations, government representatives, buyers, and certifying bodies to unite and to exchange best practices in Fair Trade. It aims to promote shared economic and social values in Asia within the central theme of ‘Gender Equity’.

The conference will include workshops by renowned experts on Fair Trade verification, gender, living wage, live online marketing, and natural dyes, as well as scaling-up sessions.

Aspire’s Mentoring Program
 
The Aspire Foundation has impacted the lives of over 9 million women and girls in over 87 different countries. Its Mentoring Program is looking for woman, especially from India working at all levels for a Fair Trade Organisaton, charity, or non-profit organization.

Nest’s Remote Learning Center
 
 
Nest provides artisans with access to the tools, resources, and partnerships needed to leverage crafts in the contemporary market. Its Remote Learning Center includes webinars, video and phone consultations, design briefs, a digital library, and prototype market incubation to artisans.
 


Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI)’s Training Program
An international training program on ‘Entrepreneurship & Small Business Promotion’ will be held at EDI on September 26–November 4. Its purpose is to build professionals who will work for the promotion of economic activities in developing countries.


Zynira  
Zynira is an online shop selling ethically produced, high quality apparels and accessories from around the world. The shop is currently looking for suppliers to be promoted on its website.

Sidley’s Africa–Asia Agricultural Enterprise Pro Bono Program
 
This program provides free legal support to small and medium sized agricultural-related enterprises and development NGOs in Africa and Asia. The focus is to empower farmers and businesses to expand their operations to improve the livelihoods of the world’s poorest farmers and their communities.

Fair Trade Towns Conference 2016
 
The 10th International Fair Trade Towns Conference was held in Lebanon on July 1­–3. The theme of the conference was ‘Building Bridges through Fair Trade’, reflecting how Fair Trade Towns in Lebanon have created social and economic links between communities of different sects and
faiths.
 
 
 
WFTO Members Korea – Ecuador
The Korea Council of Fair Trade Organizations (KFTO) will donate proceeds from its World Fair Trade Day festival to Fair Trade producers in Ecuador affected by the recent earthquake. 

 
Community Crafts Association of the Philippines (CCAP) Domestic Store Launch
CCAP launched its domestic store on June 21, showcasing products from different producer communities other Fair Trade organizations in the Philippines.
