Position: Native Gardens Information Coordinator (volunteer)

The Native Plant Conservation Campaign is seeking a motivated volunteer to develop an online database of native plant gardening resources from throughout the U.S.

The New England Wildflower Society (http://www.newenglandwild.org/grow), the Lady Bird Johnson Center (https://www.wildflower.org/plants/)  the California Native Plant Society (http://calscape.org/), and the Xerces Society (http://www.xerces.org/pollinator-conservation/plant-lists/) are a few of the institutions currently offering excellent online help for land managers and gardeners seeking locally appropriate native plants.

We are looking for a volunteer to
(i)              seek out other online native gardening resources
(ii)             assemble these resources into a searchable national database of native plant selection and gardening information resources.

Our goal is for gardeners and land managers throughout the U.S. to be able easily to locate and access native gardening resources in their region and ecosystem. We also hope that the database will encourage botanic groups in underserved areas to develop or improve local native gardening resources.

Experience welcome, but not required!
