It has been a fantastic winter in Fourteener Country! When the snow comes it has been plentiful, and between storms it's sunny and beautiful. With spring right around the corner now is the perfect time to enjoy just about any outdoor activity imaginable.
Like to fish? Try ice fishing on one of the many frozen lakes or head down valley and fish the Arkansas River under sunny blue skies. Skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing are still favorite activities this time of year. You will see more and more bikers, hikers, runners, disc golfers and more outside on the sunny dry trails of Buena Vista and Salida. Boaters are even gearing up for the spring runoff. There are some great early season discounts on raft trips available for those who like to plan ahead.
Here are a few of the things happening this March.
