Psalm 95:1 Oh come, Let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock Of our Salvation!

LET US MAKE A LOUD NOISE!

It is a fault of adults at times to silence the exuberance of children. I realize there are times and places when such has to be done, however their simple, pure joy, and the expression they give to such joy is something we adults ought to copy. The simplest of things can elicit from them shouts of joy and happiness which can be heard around the world.

We adults on the other hand give voice to fears, frustrations, worries, anxieties and anything else that may cause us headaches or sadness. The loud noises we make are the loud grumbling, complaints, and "alas and I lack" so much.

Our Lord Jesus reminds us, yes encourages us to become like little children, not childish, but to follow the example of a child's simple, joyous, unquestioning faith in life. We adults are to become so.

If we take this first verse of Psalm 95 and tie it all together, our grumblings become shouts of joy. Or complaints become loud noises of great joy. Our voices become the sound of a trumpet in praise to the Lord who in mercy goes with us day by day sending only that which is good for us. He provides our daily needs, gives to us a place of perfect safety from all things to both body and soul, establishes us in the Rock our Lord Jesus Christ, and through Him grants to us eternal life in heaven. Let us go on sounding the trumpet of praise with our voices to our great and gracious Father, our God.
